Stolen Pleasure

This story is placed during the Rococo period where the nobles and the royal hierarchs are criticised for exploiting the public ‘Peasants’ increasing their taxes to pay for their luxurious lifestyles. 

I wanted to show the aftermath of one of these events, exploring the superficial lifestyle the young character lives, hidden detail through-out the imagery shows the ignorance of the future events ,like the French revolution , amongst the false sense of pleasure the character falls into.

The vandalism scene shows the title of the project sprayed across the posed ’painting’ with the material items broken and discarded to show the superficial lifestyle that the wealthy indulge themselves in.
